During the 50s, before the constitution of Alba Adriatica as an autonomous locality, the area was still little unpopulated-few houses, roads no hotels and bad kept beaches.

Mr Antonio Potenza, an employee of the National Forestry Body proposed an important change. To create a pine forest along the sandy shore in the area of Villa Fiore. So 3 pine forests were achieved in the area close the street (spaced out by assigned areas for boats) for about 700 meters long.

Today they are still one of the symbols more known and appreciated by tourists and inhabitants.

In years the pine forests become luxuriant, conferring to the seaside area elegance and moreover it gives oxygen and clean air protecting the houses in the nearby from dried salt.
