The Castle of Rocca Calascio

The Castle rises in the Province of Aquila not far from the Campo Imperatore plain, located at Calscio in the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga at 1.460mslm.

The ancient Middle-Age structure dominates the plains of Navelli offering a suggestive sight. Once it way used to insight the enemies and to communicate with the other castle towers in the nearby. Built in white stones, it is composed by a central part, circle wall and four tower.
