The Castle of Roccascalengna

The ancient castle rises in the little town of Roccascalegna on the hills of the River Sangro overhanging the Rio Secco Plain.

Erected by the Lombardics (just after the construction of a sighting tower) that were on the territory since 600 D.C.it had many structural modifies. The castle lived years of abandonment until the last feudal family decided to donate it to the Municipality of Roccascalegna in 1996.
