The Trabocchi

They are wooden structures  made of acacia and fir wood with canapé ropes ,similar to parafthites that stretch along the coast of Chieti. They served for fishing.

The buildings can still be used for fishing and used as locations with refined ambience and enchanting landscape for dinners and suggestive events or taverns.

The Trabocchi are very appreciated by tourists and holidaymakers. For this reason the Abruzzo Region promotes its recovery inserting them to the fullest of the cultural heritage.

There is still a question mark on the origins of these structure, but the best-known theory sees them as constructions made by shepherds and farmers for fishing.
