The tower is located in the nearby of Vibrata and its defined the Guard Tower for its surveillance function on the territory. ( since at the end of the 1500). It is the only monument of the middle ages preserved in good conditions. In the years it became part of the urban complex. Now restructured and retrained as a restaurant and pizzeria.

The tower is a recurring element in the territory between the River Tronto and the city of Vasto, area in which more than 14 towers were built all coming from the same project dating back to the period when Naples was governed by the Vicere' Don Parafan of Ribera, Duke of d'Alcala'. Their construction began to be built in 1567 ending in 1570.

Alba Adriatica's Tower is quadrangular pyramid shaped, with its base side measuring 10 metres. The upper point originally was surrounded by blackbirds and guelphs. It was used as a depository for pieces of artillery.
